    Why have your erasers valued

I’ve got some real gems in my own collection of erasers that have been discovered amid job lots purchased from online auction sellers. These sellers clearly had no idea that some of the erasers in their collections were worth quite a lot of money (we’re not talking hundreds here, but in comparison to a bulk standard eraser then considerably more).

Don’t let that happen to you and your collection.

Valuing a collection of erasers can be a very personal thing, and fluctuates depending on the current requirements of purchasers. But if you’re thinking of selling your collection, or want to know how much it, or a specific eraser, might be worth, then my years of experience can help you.

I can tell if you which erasers are the ‘bulk standard’ and which are worth more cash. If you want to sell, I can help you separate the ones to sell as a job lot, and the ones to take out and sell individually.

Or you might want to hold on to them and are only interested in a valuation for personal satisfaction (or indeed insurance purposes!)

The valuation process takes into account an eraser’s age, make, fragility, rarity, condition and even such things as colour (two identical erasers in different colours may have very different values).

    What I need from you

    • Emailed photographs of your erasers. If your collection is large then several photos will be required so that each eraser can be seen clearly.
    • Information about any damage or use to erasers that isn’t clear in the pictures, including bits missing, scratches and melting to plastic cases.

    • Details of the service you require: whether a single price for a whole collection, individual prices, or a combination.

What you will receive in return

    • You will receive a document detailing all valuations you have asked for, with additional notes explaining some of the prices. For example, if an eraser has been valued higher because of its colour, or lower because of some damage, then I will let you know of this.

    • You can choose to receive the valuation documentation either as a simple email, a Word document or as a PDF.

    Valuation fee

My fee for valuations depends on the number of erasers and the type of service required (whether individual erasers, an entire collection, or a combination of both.

My fee is time based, at a rate of £10 per hour (£2.50 per 15 minutes), with a minimum fee of £2.50.

I will provide a quotation as soon as I know your requirements. If it takes me less time than expected then the fee will be reduced accordingly, but I will never charge more than I have quoted.

If you are interested in my valuation service, have any questions or would like a quotation, then please contact me by email: Jules@OriginalErasers.co.uk

I look forward to helping you discover the true value of your collection.

  • Hi, Very interested to know about the valuation service you offer. I have about 106 erasers from the 1980′s in mint condition and in the original wrappers unused. I have Bobby and Kate erasers which are I have discovered highly sought and Kutsuwa collectables. I have lipstick erasers and I have no idea how to sell them. I don’t want to be ambitious because I want them to have a worthy home but at the same time it would be nice to understand the market. If you were to value them how long might it take?

  • Hi there and thank you for your interest. I will send you an email. Best wishes, Jules
